The Magic Belt: Bulges, Be Gone!

(Click the photo to see which celebs hide their bulge with the Invisibelt!)

Almost all celebs have a professional stylist--or two--who won't leave home without double stick tape to avoid nip slips. These pros know to dab white wine on still-wet merlot to prevent staining that perfect ensemble. And they always have convertible bras in their kits to banish visible straps on their famous clients.

And now the new Invisibelt (www.invisibelt.com) is becoming a must-have backstage at fashion shows and on the red carpet. Invented by former beauty editor and mom-of-one Kathy Kramer (who rocks a teensy waist and a juicy rear view), this adjustable clear belt (sizes 0-14; $19.99) is undetectable under fitted tops to give a super slim silhouette. "I invented the Invisibelt out of personal need. My pants were always a smidge too big in the waist and it wasn't practical to have every pair altered. Whenever I wore a belt the buckle created a bulky bulge under my top," she says. So celebs are just like us: We all want a whittled waist, not extra bulges! Off the record, Beyonce owns one. And as this picture says, that girl wears jeans like, well, a rock star.

Which celebs are rocking the Invisibelt?

I wish I had the problem that my pants were too big! I don't know about this. I like the undergarments that give you a smooth line under your clothing. This just looks like a thin clear belt..

I am a mother of 3 young girls, and want them to embrace their curves and be healthy. I do think Beyonce does look good in those pics and has nice curves.

I strive to eat healthy and lead by example. I eat flax every
morning. I have the same breakfast now every day. I recently lost 30 pounds following the weight watchers program
http://www.weightwatchers.com and I now just am more watchful every day of what I eat. I have a banana low fat yogurt with golden roasted flax for breakfast every
day. It is filling, keeps me regular and tastes fabulous. My Weight Watchers leader recommended fitflax to me and it definitely helped the last 10 pounds to melt off. It is a flax and chia blend and I think I read about it in O mag. They also listed a code to get 15% off. The site is http://www.fitflax.com and the code for 15% off is FIT15

I do look a lot better. I still don't have the problem of my pants being too big. I need a belt to make some of mu skinny pants still stretch, but I am getting there..and the flax has made my hair so nice and thick!

That's all fine and dandy, but how do I really know they are wearing this belt? I see no proof.

Sorry, but this seems stupid. Why go around wearing something embarrasing like this under your clothes. If you aren't happy with your bulges-loose the weight! Why settle for a temporary fix?

Me - the bulge isn't for hiding a fat bulge, it's to prevent a buckle bulge. Wearing a slim fitting shirt and having a bulky buckle doesn't always look good.

I think this is a great invention.

Sounds good to me. Whenever I wear a belt it does make a buckle bulge. The last thing I want is to have my belly look like its bulging. I'd buy one for sure.

This is incredible! I don't know how I have lived my life without one! Thank God and Kate Moss that it comes in a size zero. Now I can eat that extra piece of celery without feeling guilty. Do they make this belt for newborns? My baby has a little flab hanging over her diaper. I feel that it is important to start infants on the pathway to low self-esteem and poor body image as soon as possible.

Oh, gee...an "invisible" belt. You cinch it to help you look "slimmer," right?

Why not just do that with a real belt, eat less and lose weight? Seems you'd be saving a bit of money that way...

Oh, right...you wouldn't be another "sheep" following the latest "trend of the stars..."

I think this is a good idea, especially if you are using it while you are losing weight. The better you feel about your appearance, the less likely you are to eat too much or the wrong foods. I know what it's like to try and lose weight. I lost 47 pounds in 6 weeks using the Rapidthin diet at www.rapidthin.com. Good luck to all. Use what works for you.

what is the point of wearing a belt, if you can't see it ? It's a fashion statement to wear belts today, this seams outragous to me and I would never buy any!!!!!

This is a joke. If you idiot women think that this is doing anything for you other then thinning out your wallet then you are a fool. Any elastic waist apparatus will do the same, which is nothing but push your fat in until you learn how to lose it the right way, and tone your body so that you get the look you really want. Stop being so stupid that you think some dumba** gimmic is going to work for you.

Everyone, this belt has NOTHING to do with body bulges like rolls or muffin tops. The "bulge" that is referred to in the article has to do with belt buckles that bulge out from under fitted tops. I have had that problem for years. My jeans always fit me too big in the waist due to having a very small waist compared to my hips, so the only way to take care of that problem is with a belt. That leads to another problem: my belt buckle bulging out from underneath my top, making my tummy area look bulky. It always looked bad and I just stopped wearing belts all together. This belt is very thin and fitted to the body so it does not bulge out from under your tops.

I saw this in a magazine months ago when someone posed the question about bulging belt buckles and how to avoid that look. It's exactly what I've been looking for, and then I forgot the name of it and haven't been able to find it anywhere! I've googled "plastic belt" and couldn't find it. I'm saving this in my faves. Thanks!

Did many of you even read the article???? This is a regular belt, only designed to wear with fitted tops. It isn't meant to make you slimmer, just not stick out like a regular belt would. God I know AOL is for idiots, but COME ON PEOPLE!

DUH...

I realize what you're saying... it's meant mainly to hide the belt buckle bulge... but why does it say on the package that it has an "instant slimming effect"?

Finally! An affordable, sensible alternative to getting my pants altered when I'm in between sizes (which is often). I own one and absolutely can't live without it-- I suggest you try it!

Is what you always say about Jessica Simpson the only thing you have to say, if so please stop because it has gotten very old and we all are tired of reading it.
