Jessica Alba buys $16,000 worth of too-small clothes

If you have a couple extra pounds that you're trying to get rid of you could always try Jessica Alba's strategy -- buy $16,000 dollars worth of garments that don't fit.

She dropped that kind of cash like it was nothing at Barney's New York. Everything she bought was at least a whole size too small for her.

Jessica looks great already -- we know that. But, looking great isn't enough. She wants to be a size two again. She thinks that $16,000 worth of tiny jeans, tops and dresses will be good motivation to get her back down to mini-person actress size.

We think it's sad that somebody who already got her stomach back to washboard flat within no time after having a baby is still feeling so much pressure to lose more weight. But, hey, if it's an excuse to do serious shopping than we're all about it!

I just hope she doesn't do anything drastic to lose the weight... but I still don't see where she's storing it. She looks wonderful, baby or not.

This is actually funny. Haven't we all done the samething? We spend a fortune on looking good, clothing, makeup, cars, etc. I can tell you that the easiest and cheapest way to look good is to lose weight. I had no sex life until I lost weight. Within days of finishing my diet, my life literally became an orgy. Lookin' good like these celebs is well worth the effort. I lost 47 pounds in 6 weeks using the Rapidthin diet at www.rapidthin.com. Good luck to all. Use what works for you.

You are correct about a few things cheap and easy..you are disgusting...as if anyone wants to hear about your new found sleeziness, to be nice, since you lost weight. That just shows you are the lowest common denominator, because if your were heavy and were a person of character..people would "love"you anyway.

I wish I had $16,000 extra so that I could motivate myself to lose weight by buying clothing that is too small. Besides, I have lots of clothing that is too small in the back of my closet that I used to wear before I had kids to motivate me.

I strive to eat healthy and lead by example for my daughters. I eat
flax every morning for health and weight loss reasons. I have the
same breakfast now every day. I recently lost 30 pounds following the weight watchers program http://www.weightwatchers.com and I now just am more watchful every day of what I eat. I have a banana low fat yogurt with golden roasted flax for breakfast every day. It is filling, keeps me regular and tastes fabulous (kinda like sesame seeds). My Weight Watchers leader recommended fitflax to me and it definitely helped the last 10 pounds to melt off. It is low carb and low cal. It is a flax and chia blend and I think I read about it in O mag. They also listed a code to get 15% off. The site is http://www.fitflax.com and the code for 15% off is
FIT15

And what kind of example is that to set for our girls? No wonder there are so many girls and young women with eating disorders who risk their lives to look like those on the cover of magazines, which by the way is mostly fake... airbrushed to perfection. And here we have people like "getwau" using this site to peddal their product... People like that don't care if others live or die using their "product" as long as they make a buck. And as far as Ms. Alba wanting to be a size two... I feel sorry for her that she feels tinseltown will not except her as she is. And she's right.... Hollywood not only can be dangerous, it can be downright deadly.

A size 2 is not really all that thin anymore. My daughter takes a size 2 blouse at 130 lbs and 5'4"! Hardly anorexic. Her jeans are a size 4. When I was 5'6" and 143 lbs many years ago, I took a size 12! Now I am a WHOLE lot larger and just bought a size 14 Calvin Klein coat. If this had been 30 years ago, I would be wearing a size 20 or more--and definitely unable to get a CK coat that fit. Americans have the highest rate of obesity in the world and many have no idea of what normal is supposed to look like.

I totally agree-- when I was in high school I was a very (but naturally) thin 5'3" and 95 pounds. I wore a size zero, which was appropriate and fit perfectly. Now, same height but 12 pounds heavier, size zero jeans from jcrew, gap, calvin klein, and express are so roomy I have to wear a belt. A belt for a size zero jean! I bought a pair of 00 dress pants at banana republic and I am amazed that with the addition of over ten pounds in ten years, I've gone down a whole size rather than up, according to these stores.....

I had my daughter 6 years ago. I remember reading not to do any strenuous exercise or other activity until 6 weeks after giving birth, and then to start slowly. I hear people praising these actresses for being so thin as early as a month after giving birth and I wonder how they have compromised their own personal health. They might look great now, but what type of health problems will present in the future?

The bimbo had a baby, and no way in HECK will she ever see a size 2 again, simply because her hips have shifted wider. She'll have to liposuction her butt to make up the difference.

Geez, she could have donated that 16 grand to charity, like St Jude's Hospital or the Shriner's Burn Center.

I'll never watch another movie this self-indulgent, shallow diva loser is in again because I refuse to support her insecure ego.

You are so right! I've been plus-sized unfortunately for many years now...but back in the day I was your exact height and weight and wore a 12-14. Now I read weight-loss stories about women who are still bigger than that wearing a size 8 or something...say what? Sizes must be dramatically different than they were in the 70's and 80's (dating myself, I know!).

Jessica Alba needs her head examined. For $16,000 she could have had several therapy sessions. Why do these young women think they need to be a size 1 or 2? That just looks awful. They look fragile and frail. I don't get it. What is wrong with being a size 8 or10? I think that she would be much healthier.

It seems to me that when I had my two children ( both adults now) that losing the weight after giving birth was not difficult BUT our bodies really change. Our abdominal muscles are not as tight ......the uterus is different. Am I the ONLY woman who noticed that things shift after carrying a baby and all the accompanying fluids, etc. x 9 months? I do have 2 friends who had multiple births and always had perfect little bodies after giving birth.BUT neither of them EVER abused food and were always active and aware of taking care of their bodies.I think the key is to not indulge yourself when you are pregnant.Just eat very healthy foods and keep moving. I think Jessica looks very radiant BUT she no longer has that young little "do me because I am hot look" Angelina Jolie looks stunning too.....but she does look like a mommy now.

Jessica Alba admitted to having an eating disorder, saying she was afraid of being large like her family. Supposedly, she's recovered, but if this article is true, then there's a good chance she's back on the wagon. For some, a size 2 is natural and/or healthy, I don't doubt that, but it seems crazy and idiotic to blow $16,000 in smaller clothing just to reach a certain size. I too used to suffer from an eating disorder--and admit that on a couple occasions I have relapsed--and I don't see why she would want to do this to herself if she really does so it in a unhealthy way. She's a mother now, and, at least for her child's sake, her health should be more important than fitting in a size 2.

Overweight or not,we would all be better off if we would just not compare ourselves to these so-called "stars." These people have personal trainers, nutritionists, nannies and cooks. Of course they are going to lose the weight faster than normal people.Their lifestyle is supported by all kinds of helpers and employees. If we all had that we'd all lose our "baby weight" in a few weeks and we'd all be a size 2 as well.

I still have a hefty bag full of my skinny jeans, ..because you never know....someday they're going to fit me again. I've also bought slacks one size to small for initiative. Now if I had $16K to blow, ..number one, ...I would go on a cruise, ..number two...catch up on bills, number 3 ..shopping baby, ...yeah!!
