The secret behind Sarah Palin's fancy debate hair

Now we know where we saw Sarah Palin's debate hair-do before: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!

W Magazine revealed that Angela from The Hair Grove, in chi chi West Lake Village, outside of LA, is the hair genius responsible for arranging Sarah's artfullly-casual-yet-sprayed-within-an-inch-of-its-life elaborate JBF french braid.

It's such an interesting style choice: big wedding hair for an important presentation at the office. Add a couple of sprigs of baby's breath and she can wear this to Bristol's wedding!

Crisp featured Cindy McCain is also a fan of The Hair Grove. The Yelp! reviews say the salon does good color, is a bit pricey, and the girls have a heavy hand with the hairspray, which is totally what we would have guessed.

Following up on the tip from W, we called The Hair Grove (such a folksy name! Sarah musta felt right at home!) to ask a couple of "Get The Look" questions.

Sadly, we can't get into Angela's chair until November, because she's traveling with Sarah. However, there are other stylists at The Hair Grove, who can fit us in sooner.

A basic up do starts at $80, and can take an hour, to an hour and a half. Copying Sarah's cinnamon highlights will start at $95, depending on how many foils the stylist sticks in your hair. That's not so expensive! Even with travel expenses, we think Sarah's beauty regime sound cheaper than John McCain's make up habit!

When we asked if the receptionist at The Hair Grove if they're voting for Sarah, she just laughed and said "Yeah, we have some stylists working with them."

We're not sure who else is on the road with Sarah, but the salon also does waxing, so pehaps Sarah brought someone along to take care of nether-scaping. That Todd Palin always looks pretty happy!

I have to admit I'm really impressed with Sarah. 5 kids, a husband, governor of a State and to top it off she's got a fabulous figure and the face aint so bad either. On another subject, I don't feel so bad for most of the people who are having mortgage problems. In the old days us folks saved up the down payment and bought the house we could afford. We furnished it with garage sale items till we could afford to buy the furniture we wanted. Today they want it all right now knowing they can't afford it. They don't take the advice their parents give them and they end up in trouble. The lenders ofcourse share in the blame.

Right on linda b. I am 80 yeas old and grew up when you paid for what you needed and waited until you could afford what you wanted.
The radical left wingers are so concerned that Sarah Palin is a knockout that they will stop at nothing to try to destroy her. IT IS DISGUSTING , and shows what low life they are. Well, they will find out that the people of the USA are not all that stupid to not see what is happening. This election is NOT over yet and truth will win out and the liberal left wingers can go sit in the mess they have made and watch Sarah and John try to clean up the mess.

Just because someone attended 5 colleges, doesn't mean they flunked out....who wouldn't want to go to Hawaii...I wish I had the wherewithall/money to have gone for a semester. Many people have to work while they are in college, they don't get a ride on the taxpayers back. Obamas mama was 4 months pregnant when she married his father...so what? So stop and think before you speak or type, so you don't look so ignorant.

I feel sorry for all you people that are so scared of Sarah. A little governor of Alaska (you say) but you are worried to death. Running like rabbits. Take your blinders off and listen to what she has to say. She's a fresh face, not a Washingtonian, for which I'm very happy about, has a lot of fresh ideas, is energetic. Too bad she's not running for president, but maybe next time around. Until then, just suck it up, sit back and enjoy the ride. Good things are finall coming to this country. It's time for a Sarah.

I agree. It's almost hard to believe the disdain and hatred Sarah seems to get from people. When I started hearing calls from the democrats for her to take herself off the ticket, and the wonderful excuses offered for her to use - such as needing to take time off to care for her children - I knew why. Me thinkest you protesteth too much!!! The Obama lovers are sick at the thought that Sarah may help McCain win, and they are willing to do whatever they can to villify her. How bout that painting of her some guy did and stuck in a bar in Chicago? If I painted a picture of a naked Obama with a little towel over his privates - it would be lawsuit time!!! Can you imagine? You can't be racist, but you can still get away with sexism. And the NOW women and other lesbians are the most hateful of all. TS ladies. A hetero woman in power just infuriates them!!! And she doesnt even try to look dyke like. How dare she!!!!!!

Please do your homework. You will then find out who caused the housing crisis and, it wasn't the Republicans. You can think Slick Willie for that in the 80's.

http://www.businessweek.com/the_thread/hotproperty/archives/2008/02/clintons_drive.html

Also, when you speak about the candidates and and about the party they stand for, it helps to actually know what you are talking about.

Here is a quick look into 3 former Fannie Mae executives who have brought down Wall Street.

There are some links at the bottom to substantiate this.

Be sure to read the 'where they are now' at the bottom...!!

Franklin Raines was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregulaties in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. At the time of his departure The Wall Street Journal noted, ' Raines, who long defended the company's accounting despite mounting evidence that it wasn't proper, issued a statement late Tuesday conceding that'mistakes were made' and saying he would assume responsibility as he had earlier promised. News reports indicate the company was under growing pressure from regulators to shake up its management in the wake of findings that the company's books ran afoul of generally accepted accounting principles for four years.' Fannie Mae had to reduce its surplus by $9 billion.

Raines left with a 'golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear. http://housingdoom.com/2006/12/18/fannie-charges/ . The Government noted, 'The 101 charges reveal how the individuals improperly manipulated earnings to maximize their bonuses, while knowingly neglecting accounting systems and internal controls, misapplying over twenty accounting principles and misleading the regulator and the public. The Notice explains how they submitted six years of misleading and inaccurate accounting statements and inaccurate capital reports that enabled them to grow Fannie Mae in an unsafe and unsound manner.' These charges were made in 2006. The Court ordered Raines to return $50 Million Dollars he received in bonuses based on the miss-stated Fannie Mae profits.

Tim Howard - Was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard 'was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a 'stable pattern of earnings' at Fannie. In everyday English - he was cooking the books. The Government Investigation determined that, 'Chief Financial Officer, Tim Howard, failed to provide adequate oversight to key control and reporting functions within Fannie Mae,'

On June 16, 2006, Rep. Richard Baker, R-La., asked the Justice Department to investigate his allegations that two former Fannie Mae executives lied to Congress in October 2004 when they denied manipulating the mortgage-finance giant's income statement to achieve management pay bonuses.Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004.

Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. A look at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight's May 2006 report on mismanagement and corruption inside Fannie Mae, and you'll see some interesti ng things about Johnson. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million.' Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae.

Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign as Chief Economic Advisor

TIM HOWARD? Howard is also a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama

JIM JOHNSON? Johnson hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee

IF OBAMA PLANS ON CLEANING UP THE MESS - HIS ADVISORS HAVE THE EXPERTISE - THEY MADE THE MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Would you trust the men who tore Wall Street down to build the New Wall Street ?

So sick of these one sided jerks who cant and don't find any fault in the liberal democratic party and there hope to ruin this country. All they do is pick on sarah palin and john mccain, the only candidates who actually are PROUD OF THIS COUNTRY and hope to make it a better place and lower taxes. To all the democrats in this country, take your high taxes and big government and shove it, you know where.

It's sad that people are losing their homes, but there is no free lunch. If you can't afford it don't try to buy it. YOu can't buy a 300,000. dollar home if you don't have the income to pay for it. You have to be accountable for what you do, this is what happens when you depend on government to hand you everything on a platter. We are responsible for what we do and we reap what we sow. The banks are also responsible for giving these people loans they knew they could not afford. The democrates played a big part in that by pressuring the banks to give these loans. Barney is a joke and one of the main culprits that caused this problem. The bail out is a farce. It's a bandaid and will not solve the problem. We also as voters have to hold these politicians accountable.
