Actresses and models use shocking tactic to stay thin
Nicole Richie used to send emails to people saying nobody over 100 pounds would be allowed into her parties -- and there would be scales at the door. Coco Rocha said that designers would tell her, "The look this year is anorexic. We don't want you to be anorexic, we just want you to look it." And just recently, sources reported that the CW network sent out a memo saying that the girls on the new 90210 need to stay under 110 pounds. So, the girls of Hollywood have had to come up with a new method to stay on top of this sick trend.
Models and celebrity A-listers alike are now said to be using IV drips to stay thin. The drip is yellow colored and contains multi-vitamins, meaning that women can be hooked up, ingest minimal calories so they can stay teeny tiny and not die.
This dangerous cocktail is called the "Banana Bag," by the folks in the industry. Doctors with no morals will put women on this "diet," for 2-4 weeks at a time. Basically, the whole idea of this so-called medical treatment is to keep the patient alive, while starving her -- probably so she can fit into sample designer sizes or whittle herself down to 90 pounds so she can beat out a 92 pound actress for that elusive role in the summer blockbuster of the year. Because, that's Hollywood.
So just keep in mind, when you're envying these women who so seem to lose weight so effortlessly, they might be paying a higher price than you realize.
