Whatever opinions someone may have concerning the tireless animal rights organization PETA one thing is for certain, no one can ever say they don't try.

After getting laughed at -- and rightfully so might we add -- for suggesting Ben & Jerry's quit using milk from cows and begin using the stuff that comes from human nursing mothers (barf), PETA president Ingrid Newkirk and her equally irrational followers are now demanding, er, strongly voicing their concern of the continued use of black fur caps by the Queen of England's guards.

PETA has been urging Britain's Ministry of Defense to drop the otherwise silly looking fur hats for more animal-friendly creations by designers like Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwoord -- both of whom have long regarded using real fur in their runway collections as a faux pas. In MoD's defense, they haven't ruled out taking PETA up on their offer of using synthetic fur.

See, Ingrid? Justice for animals can be accomplished without looking mildly insane.

A parade of fur and the Queen of England
