It's not that Jack Black looked bad at the DVD release party for Kung Fu Panda yesterday. It's just that we think he could have tried a little (or a lot) harder. Honestly, this is a red carpet event. Dustin Hoffman is in a suit and buttoned up shirt, while Angelina Jolie rocked an LBD like nobody's business, and she just had a baby for crying out loud!

There's a time and a place for an oversized t-shirt. If you're a movie star at a public event, that is not the moment to dress like a slob.
Can you imagine if Ms. Jolie had shown up wearing a tee and jeans? The next day we can guarantee that every single tabloid would have predicted the apocalypse with headlines like, "Angelina Jolie -- Sloppy red carpet appearance -- is she back on drugs?" or "Brad Pitt cheats, Angelina Jolie fakes a smile in t-shirt and jeans at Kung Fu Panda event."
Starlets are absolutely not allowed to go that casual to a premiere. And at StyleList we think there should be no double standard. If Angelina has to look hot for Kung Fu Panda release parties, so does Jack -- next time we want to see him in a little black dress!
