i had some bad hair back in the day- the worst was probably the massive bangs- especially when my mother would curl them- bad news!

I absolutely LOVE how Nick first & foremost considers every woman's lifestyle & needs before he reshapes, cuts and/or colors their hair... rather than so many hair stylists' who cut "without consideration" ~ I hope I win!! I have to get his salon soon, nonetheless.

I wish I had a favorite hairstyle when I was a child, but i don't. Back then I just didn't know what to do with my curly hair. It had a mind of it's own and each day I never knew what it was going to do.

Even though I've seen some really nice styles that Nick has done on the show, I think way too many ladies walk out of there with the same boring "bob".

I don't have a favorite childhood hairstyle -- I had boy cut hair growing up. No, not a cute stylish pixie cut -- it was literally a boys hairstyle for me as a little girl. H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E.

My favorite hairstyle was in grade school and i had long, blond hair, straighter than any flat iron could make it, swept to the side and held with a hair clip. it's my favorite school pic, and it suited me.

I had curly hair that was chin length as a child. It was a horrid 80's look. To get rid of the curl, it was cut into a bob. The sad part is that now I am almost 30 and I have returned to the bob, simply because it is easy.

When I was growing up I went wherever was cheapest. Unfortunatly that included many crazy cosmos, like the one that permed me at too young of an age, or the one that found a gray hair (when i was 8ish) and told my mother I had a very stressful life, or how about the one that took my hair from long to short with just an inch? Bad layers and I cried for days! When I was 20 I went to beauty school, and I am still paying it off and cant find a job doing hair. I love it though! Making a woman feel beautiful, changing something ever so slightly to make her life more at ease and still feel fabulous about how she looks. I didnt find until I was well in my 20s at beauty school. My schoolmate, Haliegh. Shes amazing!!!! She creates color that a small difference, or just a few low lites change me completely and exactly the way I asked. She doesnt cut too much off and makes sure my dead flat ironed ends are gone! She's always able to keep the red in my hair even after a few bleaches, the red stays! That alone is amazing to me! Even though we graduated together we also taught each other. She taught me alot about color, and I taught her alot on products (I worked at local salon/hair care store. It was manditory that we watched hair/product how to's.) It took me a while but Im thrilled with my stylist! Unfortunatly for me she just got married and is moving out of state!! I guess I'll have to start putting my education to better use and do my own foils! (yea right!!!)

If you love to do hair that much , really take it an embrace it as who you are live and breathe hair. If you want to feel success at what you do you must master it. You have to potential to be that person you talk about.

I remember my favorite cut. It was back in the 6th grade. I had just gotten a very ahead of the times asymetrical bob. Longer on one side shorter on the other. This was back in the 80's and no one had this style yet. For a 6th grader I'd say I was a few steps ahead of the trend.

My fave hairstyle as a child was the Dorothy Hamill. It was a swingy bob and as popular as the ice skater herself. I never wore that style of hair, but I always admired it. Still do.

I just remember one my moms friends coming over and cutting, perming and coloring my hair and my four sisters hair. We didn't have a lot of money, so it was always a whole day for us five girls to pretend like we were at a salon.

Oh my. My horror story was when I was in high school. I had gotten a perm and my hair was huge. I had a picture made and there was no sides to the picture- just my big hair. It was hideous. It was real high on top and very wide. I look back at it now and just laugh. Or the time, not too many years ago that I was dressed up for work in a pumpkin costume for Halloween with a friend who I worked with. We dyed our hair green and it was supposed to come right out. Well, a few weeks later, it was still green- bright green. We looked like a bunch of freaks. It was way past Halloween.

A favorite hair style was the one my older sister styled for my 6th grade graduation in the late 60's. It was an updo appropriate for a young lady (not too over the top) complete with bangs, bobby pins and lots of hairspray. What I remember most was the love she added to every detail. I was so proud to be seen in my white dress and fancy hair. SZB

I was a major tomboy, and looked up to my boy cousin, so when he got the "undercut," I had to get it too. Yes, I had that bowl cut haircut, and shaved the hair underneath the top layer. And yes, people thought I was a boy. Thankfully I've outgrown that stage of my life, but the memories are great.

When I was little I loved French braids, but I rarely wanted to sit still long enough to get one. Looking back, my most amusing hairstyle included big bangs and the sides of my hair hairsprayed away from my face. The 80s was a cruel time for hair...

When I was younger I had very long, straight hair and I was a tom boy. My Mom tried hard to keep it clean and free of debris from playing in the woods, but I decided I wanted a haircut so I didn't have to deal with it anymore so she took me to the hairdressers and I got a Dorothy Hamil haircut. That was too funny. It took weeks for me to recognize myself in the mirror.
