Hello Kitty sure is one busy cat. This year, she opened a Times Square boutique, went super high-end with Kimora Lee Simmons, became a model in Japanese Vogue, and opened up to menswear. And now, everyone's favorite mouthless kitty-girl is saying, "Howdy!" to MAC Cosmetics.
The joining of the two brands was "a no-brainer," according to James Gager, senior VP and creative director for MAC. John Demsey, group pres of Estee Lauder Cos. Inc., added, "This is a sexy and innocent fashion line, and a true MAC moment. In these times, everyone can use a little fun -- and a little Kitty."
The line will be bright, colorful, and fun, including glitter eyeliner, and consists of two collections -- the Hello Kitty Colour Collection and Hello Kitty Kouture, a higher-end line.
Ready to be a pretty kitty yourself? Sorry, you'll have to wait -- the line drops in North America in February and overseas in March.
