Despite PETA throwing flour on LiLo and continually hating on the Olsen twins, fur is still everywhere this season. And the crazier the better. Throw one of these babies on and you'll instantly be catapulted into rock star status. Read on to for tips on how to really rock a fur, what to look for when buying and our five favorites furs.

So you want to join the Fur Club? Initiation requires:

• Supreme confidence (which is easy to pull off once you put it on!)

• No guilt. If you feel that way, buy vintage or go faux.

• Letting the fur do all the talking by keeping your outfits minimal.

What to look for when buying a fur:

• Research and go to a few different stores to see what different prices get. The more expensive, obviously the better the quality.

• Do not buy anything that has bald spots, ink marks, stiffness, cracking, odors or matting.

• Take it to a professional furrier before your buy to ensure that your getting a good deal.

Caring for your fur:

• Store it in a closet that is not expose to light, on a padded hanger with no plastic garment bag (it needs circulation).

• To avoid shortening its lifespan, pack your fur away in a cool place during long hot summers. Check it into a professional storage facility that is temperature monitored if you can.

• Do not self clean. Have it cleaned regularly by a fur specialist, not a dry cleaner.
