You think you're the only one with an empty wallet? Think again. Designers Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan and Carmen Marc Valvo have all pulled out of Bryant Park for the Fall 2009 shows in February.

Although some of the designers are hard-pressed to admit the real reason behind the cancellations, many just can't afford to put on a $200,000 show. As the first to go, DKNY has decided to offer fans a presentation in lieu of a runway show while Carmen Marc Valvo is considering a more intimate setting – a cocktail party of about 200. Betsey Johnson has yet to disclose her new location but we're sure it will be fun and frivolous as always.

We have a sinking feeling that more cancellation announcements are to come. A handful of other top designers, including Vera Wang and J. Mendel, are also considering alternatives to Bryant Park. *Gasp* What will become of New York Fashion Week?! We've got our fingers crossed it's a one season thing but only time will tell.
