Matte foundation was sucking the life out of Heena Patel's skin. So Lafontaine added highlighter to
her base, then put it on the 21-year-old's cheeks, forehead and nose. "It gives subtle glow and defines bone structure," Lafontaine says.

"I'm sick of the tiny pony, the only style I can easily pull off," says Amanda Petreny, 21. Emir sprayed in hair powder to give her fine hair grip, tied it into a low pony, then pinned it under at her nape-fake "long" hair!

Victoria Eisner, 25, never bothered with eye makeup. Then Lafontaine introduced her to a quick two-step look: gray shadow, with top lids lined in black. As Victoria says, "I didn't realize liner could make such a difference."
