The oversize coffee table book, published by Harper Collins, is a visual and informational feast. Author Iké Udé is the editor in chief and publisher of aRUDE magazine, as well as an artist, writer, filmmaker and photographer and all around arbiter of fashion. He brought the sensibilities of the magazine into the book, with interviews and photo essays that include some captivating archival images.

We couldn't get enough of the interviews, especially because they include the subject's astrological sign, right at the top. Everyone is also asked if they would shoplift an item of clothing they just had to have.

Almost everyone says "No, of course not!" (boring) but a couple of people, like Francesco Clemente had terrific answers. Clemente said "I would steal a handbag and trade it for a de Kooning drawing." That's dedication to art!

With gorgeous photos, compelling writing and all kinds of intimate details, Style File is the kind of book you think you can pick up to flip through and read just a few pages, but it is utterly engrossing. Thirty minutes later you will find yourself musing on couture millinery. It's a great time!
