Christina Aguilera to Design for Topshop?

Can it be true? According to the Daily Mirror, Christina Aguilera may be the next boldfaced name to design for U.K-based megastore Topshop.

Following the massive success of model Kate Moss' collections, the chain's owner is reportedly offering the pop princess a similar deal. (However, rumors suggest that Aguilera would not be replacing Moss. Rather, their lines would co-exist peacefully.)

While we've questioned Aguilera's fashion judgments before, we're not sure what to think about this possible venture. Moss' line was a smash because she has an iconic, highly personal style -- and her day job, let's not forget, is in fashion. Aguilera has always had a unique look, and she's been showing more range lately with her go-go girl makeover. But we just don't see her as a fashion icon on the level of Miss Moss.

That said, just think of the possibilities an Aguilera for Topshop line could provide: Moulin Rouge garters and corsets, genie pants...
