Jewelry designer Caroline Henry creates beautiful, timeless jewelry pieces, including some absolutely stunning gemstone rings. This New York City based artist got her start designing jewelry in the mid 1970s while studying in India and Indonesia. We recently caught up with her to find out more about her work.

Tell us a little about yourself and your work. My name is Caroline Henry and I am a jewelry designer living and working in New York City. I have been making jewelry for many years now. I got started as a serious designer in the early 90's and am still working at it! I love what I do. It is so satisfying.

What inspires your work? I am very inspired by bold shapes, colored stones and precious metals.

Who are your favorite designers? One of my favorite designers is Marchesa, gown designer to the stars! I love Chrome Hearts. Their jewelry is fantastic and another favorite of mine is Cathy Waterman.

What are your top fashion & beauty must-haves? My favorite must have items are, a great pair of shoes and a wonderful lipstick. And of course a fantastic piece of jewelry!!!

Any advice you would give to aspiring designers? I would advise any aspiring designer to stick it out even if you are rejected by some and times are hard like they are now. Never go against your creativity!
