Mini Skirts Over 30? - StyleLies

We've all had that friend in high school whose mom wore miniskirts even though she was way old. Or that lady at the bus stop every morning who rocks a mini like she's not a day over 20. Is this appropriate or should minis be dead to those over 30?

In today's world, 40 is the new 30 and yada, yada. So if you work hard on your body (like Pilates buddies Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna) who's to say you can't show off your lean legs? We say, if you've got it, flaunt it! Well, to a point ...

Although a woman well over 30 can look wondrous in a miniskirt, she's still got to be age appropriate. Meaning skirts that barely skim the who-ha are a no. Other no-no's include neon colors, prints, frays and rips. Instead opt for simple silhouettes in neutral hues accompanies by even simpler hair and makeup. The minimal air of it all will make the look classy, not trashy.

Ok YES I am a male and YES I think the " Mini Skirt " is a very sexy look and YES I love them but, I think they are a " sexy Look " in a decent and nice sort of way.. NO I don't think they are sexy if the lady wearing them is wearing it in a " SLUTY " kind of way.. In fact a lady can wear one and if she is wearing right she is a beautiful lady.. Now these ( I will say ) women that wear them, if worn right they look damn beautiful if no panty hose are worn with them and she shows off her legs in the right way are very very pretty..If worn the wrong way the woman can be as beautiful as ever and still look like a slut and it really turns me off.. I would rather be with a wpman in a so called " POTATOE SACK " anyday and be proud of her than to wear a mini skirt and look sluty....

I want the women out there to write me from anywhere and specially from Florida around the Ocala area to let me know what you think and if you would like to I will be seen with you in a Mini Skirt in the right way and be very proud of you as long as you don't look really sluty.... in fact,, IF we meet and you look sluty,, I will tell you to your face and be nice about it and pardon myself and go on my merry way.. OK??

I think women over 40 really shouldn't be wearing skirts more than a few inches above the knees. I'm in my 40's and could pull off a mini, but I think it makes us "older women" look desperate and classless. It just doesn't matter how pretty, in shape, or yummy you may be, it doesn't work.

AGE, in isolation, should not debar you from anything!! It makes no sense to say that because your body has been on this earth for 'N' number of years that you must not do a particular thing. It is what happens as a RESULTof age that is the deciding factor and even then may not constrain us from doing what WE.. really want.

If YOU. . are pleased with your body shape and your legs. . then why not celebrate them by wearing a mini-skirt. The only consideration should be whether YOU feel happy and comfortable. The real equation that has to be faced is that which pertains between the importance of your own feelings as opposed to the importance of other people's feelings. . . but then OTHER people may be jealous !!!
