Neutrals can be really absurdly hard to pull off. You slip into the wrong shade of beige and all of a sudden you find yourself so washed out that your boss is telling you to take a sick day. Or you wear the wrong makeup and accessories with a neutral dress and you end up blending right into the wall at a party. But, in the past several days a few celebs have shown us the right -- and terribly wrong -- ways to wear neutrals.

Angelina Jolie stunned at the Critic's Choice Awards in a neutral dress. With her hair pulled back, and wearing simple jewelry and makeup, the choice of gown brought all the attention her heavenly face -- and when it comes to Angelina, focusing on the face is always a good thing. The woman has never had an ugly day in her life.

Nude can be very boring -- we're referring to the color, not the act of nakedness, obviously. Oftentimes this shade conjures up images of granny panties with no-show seams. However, Evan Rachel Wood was smart enough to spice things up with a sparkly nude dress. It also had a great cut, showing off enough of her back to sex the outfit up, without being over the top.

Rumer Willis, on the other hand, didn't fair so well with the neutrals this weekend. She looked terribly bland. And we're not just saying this because she's Rumer Willis. We're saying this only because the outfit simply wasn't good. Unlike the rest of the media seems to, we have nothing against any of Bruce's spawn.
