Jamie Lynn Spears Chooses Wedding Gown

She was just a young girl, facing the worst possible consequences of premarital sex. Then, her baby daddy cheated on her. Jamie Lynn Spears' life could not be any more complicated. So if there's one thing she's going to plan out right, it's her wedding to Casey Aldridge -- yes, that would be said cheater.

Even in the face of break up rumors for the young couple (she's almost 17, he's 19) reports are surfacing that Jamie is going full speed ahead with organizing the wedding. In fact, she's already bought a dress!

The gown's creator is the infamous Monique Lhuillier, who also did Ashlee Simpson's wedding dress, amongst other celebrities she's designed for.

As for other wedding details, we'll just have to wait and see since a date hasn't even been set yet. But, Jamie Lynn has the dress -- and as any bride knows, that's the important part.

That depends on the state. The age of consent in some (the majority, actually) states is only 16, and 17 in others. The minority of states, in fact, have an age limit of 18—only thirteen of them. Some states even allow exceptions for people who are close in age (3 years); have lower penalties for "close-in-age" partners; or will consider that as a legitimate defense in court. And no, there is (as of yet) no federal limit.

Ke will not be charged for statutory rape. In Louisiana, as in all states the laws are different. At the time of conception they were within the ages acceptable BY LAW for it not to be statutory rape...it sucks...but it's true

I think that she is crazy for wanting to marry this guy. Pleas Jamie Lynn, wake up and smell the coffee burning! This man is just using you for your name and whatever money you have left. Don't marry him because you think this is the right thing to do or you believe that you are in love and he is truly sorry. Once a cheat ALWAYS a cheat. If he is really going to stick with you wait a few more years. There is no law saying you have to marry the man that gets you pregnant. That may have been what happened back in the 50's and 60's, but were in 2009!

Marrying this guy is the worst mistake for Jamie Lynn?? NO getting knocked up at 15 was!!! HELLO YOU'RE A CHILD YOU STILL ARE and now you're going to try raising a baby?? Ever heard of birth control?? It's great to see Jamie Lynn carrying on the trailor trash line of the family but I feel sorry for the baby. Looks good on her for marrying him but the child is the one that's going to pay in the end just like Britney's kids. Let's hope that Jamie Lynn's ideas of parenting are to do the exact OPPOSITE of what her Mother did for her and Britney. TRASH!

Don't do it, Jamie Lynn! The fairy tale is not what you think it is and you are much too young. Keep your support system. Do a little leaning on others and give yourself time. A wedding lasts a few hours. A relationship should last a lifetime and I don't believe this one will. His past behavior suggests that he's just not mature enough for a role as husband and father.

Why compound a mistake. Ok, he made a mistake and got pregnant while a mere child herself but why make it worse by marrying a boy who is barely through puberty himself?
I'm not going to judge the guy, he's just a boy who is obviously not ready for a commited, adult relationship. Why don't some parents step in here?

All that said, Jamie should've given that baby up for adoption-- although I suspect they couldn't deal with the negative publicity "that" would've spawned. All these women who struggled with being unwed moms don't dispell the fact that kids from single parent homes (as a rule) have lower education and higher crime rate statistics. Her parents are just as guilty as she is for not writing a reality check-- she threw away a great career with Disney, and basically gave up her life at the age of 17. Just wait-- in a few years, we'll be watching the "Britney Re-runs" starring Jamie. Very sad.
