We give a big ups for the initial collaboration between two of our favorite, rockin' street wear companies, You Must Create (YMC) and April77. The Cowboy Boot, show above, features artificial suede and imitation leather.
This is the first piece with the UK's YMC and France's April77 in cahoots. But it feels so right, we expect to see more shoes and other offshoots from April'77's new, cruelty-free line, Good Guys Don't Wear Leather. Currently, the first pairs are available exclusively at the April 77 flagships in Paris and Bordeaux.
Obviously, the line takes its name from Good Guys Don't Wear White by Minor Threat (which is a cover of Sometimes Good Guys Dont Wear White by The Standells). Both are duder jams. And, yes, we do think duder is a gender neutral adjective even if the dictionary doesn't agree.
One fun fact about cowboy boots is they are often preferred by surgeons because of the comfort level when standing for long periods of time. We're sticking with vintage for now but hoping this collection makes its way stateside soon.
