Rebecca Taylor's talent for adding a bit of quirk to traditionally feminine pieces continues with her Fall 2009 collection.


The designer, a Cynthia Rowley-alum whose well-known love for all things feline typically inspires her coquettish looks, recently shared a sneak peel at the inspiration behind her upcoming collection.

Taylor says the look is inspired by "Northern European fairytales." So how does that translate to the clothing? In deep jewel tones set against pastels, wrap coats, layers upon layers of chiffon, and a tightly-belted waist.

But as the resident jewelry fiends, we're most looking forward to this promised aspect: "Chunky Lucite jewelry is layered to juxtapose the delicate fabrics." We can't wait for fashion week to start in t-minus four days ...
