Fall 2009 Fashion Week - Backstage Beauty at Heart Truth Red Dress Collection
SHOW: Heart Truth Red Dress Collection
MAKEUP: Bobbi Brown for Bobbi Brown
HAIR: Jimmy Paul for Bumble and Bumble
BEAUTY SNAPSHOT: Incredibly fun with great energy
THE SCOOP: Unlike most fashion week shows, there are no models at The Red Dress Collection. Celebrities who support the show's goal of raising awareness about heart disease walk the runway in dresses made for them with hair and makeup created especially for their individual look. For the makeup, Bobbi Brown says that some women love to wear a red lip with a red dress, but adds that you should never match the shades exactly. For those not comfortable with a crimson pucker, she suggest a nice neutral paired with a smoky eye. No matter which you choose, Brown says "It's not just about what you put on your face it is what you eat and how you take care of yourself. That absolutely has to do with being beautiful." As for the hair, Jimmy Paul from Bumble and Bumble says a soft tumble of curls or a simple updo were the most popular amongst the celebrity calkwalkers.
GET THE LOOK MAKEUP: Bobbi created Listen To Your Heart Lip Gloss Trio to support The Heart Truth and all three shades go perfectly with red. No matter which shade you use, start with a great base like Luminous Moisturizing Foundation by Bobbi Brown so your skin looks radiant.
GET THE LOOK HAIR: Thickening spray and Spray de Mode hairspray both by Bumble and Bumble are the key to keeping bouncy curls and glamorous updos in place.
