"Inward tranquillity from finding strength in what is true and elegant," said Rachel Roy. We say, we loved the underwear as outwear inspired pieces in the designer's fall/winter '09 collection. While we had been seeing this movement on the street, Roy responded to the trend's relevance and added a good dose of elegance. Bra tops and sheer-sided dresses paired with strong shoulders or pointy Manolo Blahniks ("venomous" as Roy described) kept the look ready for the "strong woman" Roy is always designing for.Model-photographer Helena Christensen remarked, "Many of the pieces would be beautiful to dance in. They reminded me of a modern ballet performance."
