Universally Flattering - Tip of the Day!

2/16/2009 2:00PM by Boydie Beener

Kim KardashianWe are always dishing out info on how to flatter your own figure. Which is totally awesome. But what about those universally flattering cuts, colors, and shapes? The ones that, no matter who you are or what your body type, you just can't get wrong.

Here are our favorite fashion "miracles" that look absolutely fantastic on everyone.

Note: Print and take this goof proof list with you next time you go shopping!

Clothing

1. Bootcut bottoms: They balance out a top heavy body type but also add some bulk to those that are boyish.

2. Wrap dresses: This DVF staple works an a-line silhouette and a cinched waist; perfect for every "body."

Accessories

1. Nude heels: The best color to elongate your gams because it doesn't cut you off at the feet but creates a long, clean line instead.

2. Belted waists: Showcases thinnest part on curvy girls and adds curve to boyish figures.

Color

1. Eggplant: This purple hue is the color of royalty and works on everyone.

2. True red: If you're the fairest, green eyed red head, or have the darkest, brown eyed complexion, red is going to work regardless.

Makeup

1. Peach: On cheeks, eyes, and lips, the flattering golden undertones in peach mimics a natural flush.

2. Rose gold bronzer: Rosy hues work well on cool skin tones while gold works best on warms. But a rose gold combo bronzer, like one from Benefit's Dallas, will work for all.
