We've talked a lot about the models' makeup at Fashion Week, but, it's not only the ladies on the catwalk who make a special effort for the shows. Stars who attend the shows are also often dressed to the nines, with hair and makeup to match -- hey, they're going to be photographed and scrutinized just as much as the models (and, in some cases, more). Jessica Stroup of "90210" relied on theBalm to get front row flawless -- we think it worked!
We not only got the scoop on what makeup artist Felicia Roman used on Jessica when she attended Hervé Leger, Jill Stuart, and Pamela Rolland, but we got a few of the products to try for ourselves.
It turns out we share a favorite with Jessica -- she loved the Plump Your Pucker in Cocoa My Coconut ($15 at Sephora), in large part because of the yummy flavor, and we couldn't agree more. For a plumping gloss, it doesn't have any sting, and it feels really good going on. However, it's actually made to have lasting effects -- after using for 30 days, your lips are supposed to be plumper! We'll keep you up to date on that, since, so far, we've only had this on for a day.
The BalmShelter Tinted Moisturizer ($25 at Sephora) also ranked high on our list -- it's super lightweight, but provides a little bit of coverage and SPF 18, making it perfect for those days when we feel really low maintenance (but don't want to look it). Their Sexy Mama invisible and translucent powder ($19 at Sephora) and the Bahama Mama Bronzer ($19 at Sephora) were also lovely and easy to use. One word of advice, though -- use a light hand with the bronzer, because it goes on a little darker than some of our cheap, shimmery, drugstore bronzers.
Everyone needs a great concealer, and TimeBalm Concealer ($18 at Sephora) kept Jessica looking bright-eyed all day long. And, the ShadyLady Eye Shadow goes on really smoothly and gives a serious pop of color.
