Origami Inspiration from the Oscars

Fashion has long been influenced by Asian tradition and every few years we see a resurgence of geisha-esque looks which usually start on an haute couture level and take a few years to trickle down. For instance, does anyone remember John Galliano's spring 2007 collection for Christian Dior? Well, in case you don't recall, it was chock full of crazy kimonos, bright colors, and fierce origami folds which finally, in 2009, has caught on with celebs. So how can you wear the origami look that has been so prevalent on runways and red carpets the last two years?
