Donald J. Pliner's collection of well-made shoes has always attracted a fan base of fashionistas who like nice things at a nice price. Now, his wife Lisa is launching her very own footwear line.

Lisa Pliner has been the creative director of Donald J. Pliner for the past decade. With her own collection, she has a chance to bring together her unique background in Landscape Arts (which sounds infinitely cool to us) Graphic Design and Fine Arts.

And while she put in time at Versace years ago, Pliner's version of sexy is a bit edgier than her former employer's. Look for chunky platforms, lots of straps, and unique shapes in materials like lizard and Nappa leather. The line is carried at speciality boutiques and Donald J. Pliner stores.

We're especially digging the "Indira" at right. The suede peep-toe-meets-bootie would look amazing with brightly colored tights for day, or bare legs and a mini at night.
