I know John Varvatos for his Converse and resurrecting American style, but the side of John Varvatos that has really touched many lives is what he does for the Stuart House, a rape treatment center at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. It's a sensitive topic, but the Stuart House helps the special needs of child victims of sexual abuse and their families.


Together with the support of rock band ZZ Top and a silent auction, the charity event raised $350,000, which included a dance lesson with mohawk-sporting Lance Bass, and a golf game with Alice Cooper.

Shannon Dougherty, Angie Harmon, Bridget Moynahan, Amanda Righetti and Melissa Joan-Hart were on hand.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick hosted the swoiree, which included two of my favorite things -- In n Out Burger and Crumbs Cupcakes. Sedgwick auctioned off an on-set visit for "The Closer."
