We are already big fans of Alex Woo's collection of perfect charms. Now we're getting into the dramatic and elegant Sweni collection.

Named for the Sweni River, and inspired by the wildlife and landscape of Africa, these pieces are striking and simple at the same time. Pendants, earrings and bracelets come in silver, gold and diamond designs, and can be worn as easily with jeans or to a formal event.

To show her appreciation for the inspiration, Alex Woo donates a portion of the sales of the Sweni collection to the African Wildlife Foundation, which we think makes the jewelry even more beautiful.

Plus, the "jewelry with a mission" angle gives us a good sounding excuse to buy the Sweni earrings we saw Jessica Szohr wear on an episode of Gossip Girl -- now we just have to decide betwen silver and rose gold!
