Easter Treats That Won't Up You a Pant Size

4/10/2009 4:00PM by Jessica B. Matlin

I'm staring at a days-old Lindt chocolate bunny sitting on my desk, which, much to my surprise, has managed to avoid being devoured all week.

For any chocoholics reading this, I think you can appreciate what a feat this is.

If you're wondering how I've managed to keep my willpower in check, well, so am I. But like any addict, I'm harnessing the power of substitution. I'm getting my Easter fix through yummy-smelling and delectable-looking beauty treats. Here are some of my Easter-inspired faves:

Gianna Rose Atelier Robin's Egg Soap. In that perfect shade of Tiffany blue, these French-milled soaps come nestled in a porcelain dish stuffed with straw. Those little speckled bits on their "shells" are exfoliating oatmeal and wheat bran. As far as decorative items go, it sure beats window decals and cardboard cutouts. $25

MAC Nail Lacquer in Peppermint Patty. I would never push green nail polish on you if it weren't pretty, but this cool, creamy mint green is just too refreshing to ignore. $11

Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout. Makeup artist Gucci Westman recently created this matte pastel pink lipstick, which looks like the color of a freshly-dried Paas egg. Her good friend Drew Barrymore wears it, too. $6.89

Demeter Flower Show Cologne Purse Spray. I picked up this intoxicating scent at this week's jaunt to Liberty, easily the coolest luxury department store in London. The fragrance smells scarily like a thousand freshly-watered flowers in bloom. And even better, it was cheaper than the measly bouquet I was coveting in Liberty's flower shop. $10

Jelly Belly Lip Snacks Lip Balm 6-Pack. A sixer of the brand's classic flavors is just the thing to satisfy jelly bean and lip balm addicts alike. Yum yum. $8.99

Have a delicious Easter, whatever it is you decide to indulge in!
