Susan Boyle Mania Hits 30 Million Page Views on YouTube!

4/18/2009 10:00AM by Sarah Cristobal

There was no bigger news this week than the discovery of Susan Boyle on "Britain's Got Talent" (sorry Bo Obama). Her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables still makes us teary - and it seems that we're not the only ones. A quick glance at YouTube shows that the unlikely star has gained an unheard of overnight audience. Boyle has nearly 2,400 videos dedicated to her on the video site which has produced over 30 million plays collectively. (If you're one of the few who still has not seen her remarkable performance, click here.)

If you can't wait for Boyle's return to the stage to hear her sing again (or for her forthcoming appearances on "Oprah" or "Larry King Live"), then listen to this earlier recording that was unearthed by a Scottish newspaper. The Daily Record found a recording of Boyle singing "Cry Me a River" on a charity CD from 1999. You won't believe how sultry this never-been-kissed-star sounds!
