People were mesmerized by the frumpy woman's beautiful voice -- and her frizzy gray hair. Now, in a bid to become the winner, the 48-year-old overnight media sensation has undergone a hair makeover. The once gray lady is now a brunette!
Susan previously declared that she wouldn't change her appearance for the contest, stating, "I know what they were thinking, but why should it matter as long as I can sing? It's not a beauty contest."
But, with her new dark chestnut/auburn tresses and well-groomed brows, it seems she's gone back on her word and is singing a much more polished tune. Only time will tell if her new look will help her go all the way (wink, wink!).
