Why are so many A-listers -- from Catherine Zeta Jones to Madonna -- going for the puffy-cheeked look? To combat the aging process? Is the easy access to fillers such as Voluma, Restylane, Juvederm, Surgiderm and Hydrafill to blame for this new penchant for padding?
Top surgeons like New York's Yann Tronkel and Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh have each come up with their own name for the procedure that aims to give women the higher, rounded cheeks of a teenager. The success of the procedures also has to do with the downtime -- there isn't any.
Aside from possible bruising and swelling, the fillers leave almost no trace for the paparazzi to catch. That conveniently allows celebrities to attribute their youthful looks to drinking tons of water and yoga addiction.
Hmm, sounds like a celebrity dream come true. Be sure to ask your doctor if "pillow face" is right for you!
Old Versus Young Makeup
Who: Diane Lane
Real Age: 44
Old Makeup Age: 54
Young Makeup Age: 34
Fountain of Youth: Highlighter
Lane is the poster girl for aging gracefully, but even she occasionally gets her makeup wrong. Keeping her face matte calls attention to the wrinkles around her eyes (left). Adding highlighting powder to the arches of her eyebrows, the temples, and the apples of the cheeks creates a dewy glow, and leaves her face virtually line free (right).

Who: Tyra Banks
Real Age: 35
Old Makeup Age: 40
Young Makeup Age: 29
Fountain of Youth: Staying true to her skin tone
When Banks fights her coloring by applying foundation that's paler than her natural caramel complexion, she adds years to her face (left). But a base that matches her skin, paired with earthy tones and nude lips that play up her golden glow, makes the Top Model judge look young enough to walk the runway (right).

Who: Katherine Heigl
Real Age: 30
Old Makeup Age: 40
Young Makeup Age: 25
Fountain of Youth: Sparkly details
There's vintage-inspired and then there's just plain old fashioned. At left, Heigl looks older and out of date in formal set hair and dark pink lips. An accessorized updo and light sparkly eyes (right) are a much better complement for the newlywed.

Who: Catherine Zeta-Jones
Real Age: 39
Old Makeup Age: 50
Young Makeup Age:34
Fountain of Youth: Bare skin
Only a few months away from her 40th birthday Zeta-Jones looks phenomenal, but judging by the photo on the left you would never guess that. Too much base actually accentuates her small wrinkles, but when she goes nearly bare faced she proves that natural beauty doesn't fade with age.

Who: Taylor Momsen
Real Age: 15
Old Makeup Age: 25
Young Makeup Age: 15
Aging Agent: Dark lipstick and matte shadow
The youngest Gossip Girl spends all of her time in the company of twentysomethings, so perhaps it's no surprise she's in a hurry to look like one. But Courtney Love inspired makeup (left), is almost comical on the young star. She fares much better playing with shimmery eye colors and soft lipstick (right).

Who: Jennifer Lopez
Real Age: 39
Old Makeup Age: 47
Young Makeup Age: 30
Fountain of Youth: Bangs and her signature Jlo glow
At left, the combo of thick silver liner (too young for her) and pale pink granny lips (too old for her) leaves the sizzlin' singer looking like an over the hill senora. Lopez appears younger and sexier (right) by only lining her top lid and sticking to gloss on her lips. Trading the frumpy bouffant for trendy long bangs also takes years off the singer's face.

Who: Jessica Alba
Real Age: 27
Old Makeup Age: 33
Young Makeup Age: 25
Aging Agent: Momsy haircut and matte eyeshadow.
Just because Alba recently became a mom doesn't mean she's wearing mom jean -- and the same goes for her hair. At left, her oddly shaped bangs and layered bob hide her fantastic skin while the matte gray shadow dulls her eyes. With a simple updo and shimmery lids (right) the actress looks fresh-faced and fabulous -- just like a 27 year old mom should.

Who: Nia Long
Real Age: 38
Old Makeup Age: 45
Young Makeup Age: 30
Aging Agent: Poor coverage and too much hair
Nia Long looks nearly a decade older at left -- chalk it up to the long locks that are hiding her face shape, unevenly applied foundation, and purple-gray lips. At right, a dewy base, a side-swept ponytail and toffee lip gloss let Long's gorgeous features shine through.

Who: Brooke Shields
Real Age: 43
Old Makeup Age: 47
Young Makeup Age: 38
Fountain of Youth: Makeup
When strategically applied, makeup makes all the difference. At left, Shields' natural look makes her appear a little washed out. By adding blush, sparkly gray shadow, highlighting powder and a slightly darker lip color, she draws attention to all her best features.

Who: Miley Cyrus
Real Age: 16
Old Makeup Age: 23
Young Makeup Age: 16
Aging Agent: Contouring makeup
Just because Victoria Beckham swears by sculpting doesn't mean Cyrus should shade away her babyfat (left). At 16, your makeup should be fun and leave you looking your age; when it's heavy-handed teens look inappropriate and overdone. Cyrus nails her look in the pastel shades she's rocking on the right.
