Every year hundreds of makeup artists flock to The Makeup Show NYC to sample the best new products, learn the latest techniques from top industry pros and filter through trends to find the ones their clients will actually like. Here's a recap of the best looks and products from this year's show.

Bright lips are hot for summer - Chad Hayduk, co-founder of rad makeup company Three Custom Color, says he loves a bright pop of color on the lips this summer. Three Custom's Frangipani Sheer Lipstick is a gorgeous fuchsia shot through with flecks of gold and looks gorgeous on any skin tone.

Pros are in love with a new foundation - Top makeup artist Mary Schook told me everyone is obsessed with the new Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation. The innovative formula blends to an invisible finish and makes the skin look ah-may-zing.

Flushed cheeks work with any look - Ramy himself showed me his new Juicy Cheeks (from his namesake makeup line), which are cream gel blushes in gorgeous shades of peach, pink and coral. The translucent colors don't have any shimmer so they look like a natural flush of healthy color.

Airbrushing at home will soon be a reality - The thing that had everyone buzzing at the show was airbrush makeup, which (when done correctly) can transform skin into pore-free perfection. Makeup artist and body painter Danielle Fonseca demonstrated her airbrush skills at the booth of Temptu (the best of the best when it comes to making movie starlets look flawless on camera). I witnessed a model's skin go from good to great in about 30 seconds flat. And word on the street is that Temptu will be releasing an at-home airbrush makeup tool in the very near future. So, soon you'll be able to achieve these dreamy results, DIY style.
