Take a good, long look at the woman pictured in this amazing new Givenchy fall/winter ad campaign shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

Two thoughts: 1. Can you believe that this woman is the normally sun-kissed, body-baring Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima? Definitely not the soft, angelic side of the Brazilian model we're used to seeing. (But we like!) 2. Can you believe this woman is an expectant mother? Yep, Adriana's pregnant.

On Tuesday, People reported that Adriana Lima and husband Marco Jaric are expecting their first child. If you recall, Lima vowed to keep her virginity until she was married.

No one but Lima and Jaric know if that commitment was upheld, but one thing is for sure: If it was, first time's the charm for this happy couple -- they wed on Valentine's Day and the baby's due this winter. (Was she pregnant during the Givenchy shoot???)

On one hand, Givenchy's choice in Lima is ideal -- Forbes recently ranked her the fourth highest-earning model in the world. But it's also a bit of a surprise. Creative director Riccardo Tisci selected a handful of European faces -- Italian Mariacarla Boscono (and Tisci's muse), French Leonor Scherrer, Austrian Iris Strubegger, and Russian Ranya Mordanova.

One might think Lima's South American looks don't fit Tisci's mold, but these ads are proof that she toughens up just fine. And it's a good thing, because motherhood is no walk on the beach...
