Christian Louboutins for Under $200 - Who You Kidding?

Lately, there's been a proliferation of sites (christianlouboutinus.com, buylouboutins.com, louboutinsale.com) offering the most coveted shoes for under $200.

Your initial reaction is probably to fling your laptop/baby/coffee and grab your credit card faster than Speidi shows up to the opening of an envelope.

But buyer beware! Not only will you get ripped off if you buy these fakes (the pictures may be real, pulled from the Neiman Marcus or Saks site), but the shoes you'll receive will be about as authentic as Lisa Rinna's lips.

The Louboutin look-alikes are often advertised on popular Websites like -- and no offense to this guy because who can hate on the Queen of All Media? -- Perez Hilton. Plus, who isn't looking for a great deal on high-end designers? Especially, these days!

It's just that purchasing the red-soled rip-offs from these bogus sites may affect your real soul: According to Reuters, profits are allegedly used to help fund terrorist activities. And apparently, global counterfeit trading is up 20 percent this year due to the economy. That's close to a trillion dollars (whatever that means); the point is replicas are running rampant.

So either save up for inevitable markdowns at a reputable store or visit the official site (christianlouboutin.com) for a list of authorized vendors.

Thank you so much for writing this post! I am sure there are tons of people who are so desperate to get their hands on a pair of Louboutin's (who isn't?) that they jump at these prices immediately! Great to know that these are not worth spending money on. I suggest waiting until you find a great sale to buy some, or start saving up for a pair! Very helpful.
