Mid-performance, the electro-pop singer was "arrested" by a crew of female dancers dressed as police officers, then excited the crowd when fiery pyrotechnics shot out of her bust.
With a backup dance crew in tough chic costumes featuring studs, chains and metal hardware, Gaga channeled that other pop diva, Madonna.
The 23-year-old singer performed a medley of "Love Game" and "Poker Face," clad in a studded bustier/high-cut bodysuit (still no pants!) and spiked knee-high boots.
Fergie also performed at the MMVAs and The Black Eyed Peas took home the Best International Video Group Award for "Boom Boom Pow."
Still it was Gaga who stole the show. The pint-sized blonde took home the Best International Video Artist Award for "Poker Face," accepting the honor in a dress to match her locks -- a bustier made of blonde braided hair with a skirt that resembled a full-on wig.
With pyrotechnics and a wig dress, what will Lady Gaga dream up next? Never a dull moment!
