She needs to quit trying to look like she is in college and dress like a First Lady. She is going to look back at these pictures years from now and wonder, "What the heck was I thinking?" She should not be dressy "trendy" but more classic. If you look back at past First Ladies they probably don't have a lot of regrets for looking trendy. You can look very classy and "classic" without looking frumpy. Lose the high belts and sweaters.

First ladies should not be wearing "adorable" clothes. The jacket is OK but Michelle's style choices are on the "not elegant" side. Her choices should be those made by a first lady- not first teenager- . Off camera, she can wear what she likes. At events representing her country, she has been heeding some really bad advice. She should get with the job, not fight it. She knows better.

Caroline, you are so right, I think Michelle looked great. She brings a new look to the White House and that is great. Why would she want to look or dress like all the other women who have been in the White House. People in this country and much more critical of Michelle and the President, they get nothing but praise from other countries. I'm glad she chose silver. Its my favorite. Gold is too gawdy. Silver is subtle and shiney and goes with everything. Gold just reminds me of all the cheesey 80's trends that scarey looking and ugly.

I agree. I think the belt up under your boobs looks ridiculous. Belts should be worn at the waist and not up under your armpits. What are they holding up? Boobs? It's just a ridiculous look and I wish she would quit wearing it.
