If we had a mug shot that good, maybe we'd wear it around, too! From left to right: Jane Fonda's original mug shot; holding a mugshot clutch; wearing a mugshot tee. Photos: AP | Getty Images | x17online.com
The 71-year-old actress-slash-activist drew attention to herself when she left Mr. Chow in Hollywood this week donning a baseball tee with her 1970 mug shot on it, as reported in The Daily Mail.
Interestingly enough, it's not the first time this year Fonda has shown a fondness for the photo that resulted from the arrest that occurred in a Cleveland airport nearly 40 years ago when she was falsely accused of drug smuggling (the "drugs" were actually vitamins).
"'I told them what [the vitamins] were but they said they were getting orders from the White House -- that would be the Nixon White House," the notoriously liberal Fonda (note her anti-Vietnam raised fist in the mug shot) wrote on her blog earlier this year.
Later on, both Fonda (and Rosario Dawson!) were seen with Fonda's mug shot clutches at red carpet events.
How using a mug shot of Jane Fonda helps prevent teen pregnancy is up for discussion. And we're not entirely sure we would want an image like that of ourselves marketed to the public.
But we're not going to lie -- we kind of want one of the tees!
