Scarlett Johansson strikes a sultry pose for her new Mango campaign. Are they now selling ripped pantyhose? Photo courtesy of Mango
The actress appears to be doing her best Debbie Harry impression in Mango's Fall/Winter 2009 campaign, just released.
Shot by über fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, the ad shows Johansson writhing around in Mango's overtly Eighties-influenced clothes. Expect suit jackets, slim trousers, leggings and pencil skirts.
While the animal print coat and sky-high heels are some of the collection's showstoppers, it's the hair and makeup that's really doing it for me. Hats off to hair legend Bob Recine, who was responsible for her shaggy blonde style, and Lancôme Artistic Director (and total rock star makeup artist) Aaron de Mey, who created the smoky eye and hot pink lip combo.
I'd like to see Johansson keep this East Village, NYC punk look up when she promotes her and Pete Yorn's new album, "Break Up," out on September 15.
