Vanessa Hudgens' InStyle Makeover - The Star on Her Curling Iron Obsession, J.Lo's Glow and Ditching Micro-Minis

Vanessa Hudgens plays cover girl for InStyle's latest Makeover special issue. In her Q&A with the magazine, the 20-year-old "High School Musical" star confesses that she's inspired by the risk-taking style of Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate Olsen, and that she's over teen fashion.

"I've learned that short-short skirts are not the way to go. I went through that phase at 13, so I never need to go there again!" she declares.

Regarding her past adventures in hair color, the starlet admits, "I had burgundy hair, which was frightening. And I had light brown hair with light blond highlights. It looked so bad."

Hudgens has clearly worked out all her hair issues. For the shoot, she goes from sleek strands to tousled tresses flawlessly (below). And when styling her own mane, she relies on the numerous tools at her disposal. "I've got a Chi ceramic flattening iron, four curling irons in different sizes, and at least two blow-dryers. One stays in the suitcase," she says, adding that Jennifer Lopez is her beauty icon.

"She's mastered her glow," says Hudgens. "I got kind of lucky with the glow, too. It's the Filipino in me from my mom, who has got the most amazing skin. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll take after her."

I can not stand this "actress." Sure she is an attractive young lady, however she doesn't carry herself that way. After those pics of her surfaced awhile back, Disney should have dropped her immediately. If I'm not mistaken, Disney dropped one of their stars over a DUI. I get the impression Disney is against DUI's but totally ok with nudity. Those High School Musicals were lame at best. Her lack of acting ability and the fact the stories progressively got worse with each movie made the hours I spent being forced to watch by young children in my family were torture. Please go back to where you came from and stay there!!!! Oh can you please take ZacEfron with you?

Leave Zach Efron Out of this. He is adorable. Vanessa however, although she loos great in these pics, could use some work on her grill. WHats with the concave teeth? Maybe her baby teeth haven't fallen out yet?!?

The thing that really annoys me, is all of those people who have failed to make something of their own lives, and therefore feel the need to try and criticise those that have. Everyone makes mistakes. She was young. Grow up the lot of you, if you don't like her work. It's a rather simple solution don't watch them, and then you wont have to moan about them.
