Now, due to thousands of complaints, Bloomberg News reports that the beauty pageant contestant is going to switch up her outfit for the August 23 contest in the Bahamas.
"Considering the opinions we got from many supporters and other people concerned, we decided to make the hemline of the costume longer," IBG Japan, which operates Miss Universe Japan, said on its website.
We're guessing that means bye-bye to the flash of hot pink panties and garters. No word, however, if the matching thigh highs will still be visible.
What do you think? Should Miss Universe Japan have stood her ground and kept her original costume. Or was it smart to opt for a more covered up look in response to the complaints? Leave a comment!
