Before you can scoop up Vogue's iconic and highly anticipated September issue -- on newsstands August 18 -- check out cover girl Charlize Theron in a Georgia O'Keeffe-inspired photo shoot captured by the lens of Mario Testino.

The fashion bible catches up with the Oscar-winning actress in a profile by Kevin Conley, which reveals a confident and comfortable woman at the helm of her production company, Denver and Delilah Films, and in a nine-year relationship with Irishman Stuart Townsend.

"By now we've kind of realized we're going to take this journey together," she says of their unmarried status.

Theron – who has two upcoming films: "The Road" and "The Burning Plain" – also appears in an editorial photogaphed at Georgia O'Keeffe's Ghost Ranch in New Mexico.

The blonde beauty stuns in evening gowns by Michael Kors, Giambattista Valli and Salvatore Ferragamo layered over white collared shirts.
