Britney Spears flaunted her acting chops and newly fit figure on last night's "Late Show with David Letterman" via a pre-recorded video (above).

Clad only in a little black bikini with silver trim with a giant red flower tucked behind her ear, the pop princess delivered Letterman's "Top Ten Ways the Country Would be Different if Britney Spears were President" with cheeky aplomb.

The svelte blonde star promised that as the country's president she would "only invade fun places like Cabo" and that she plans to "lure Osama out of hiding with the irresistible scent of" her "new fragrance, 'Circus Fantasy.'"

And if Britney had her way, she would nominate Diddy as her VP candidate, turning the White House into the White Party.

First, there was a bikini-clad photo shoot in L.A., then a series of sightings of Spears looking buff in numerous bikinis (this week alone), and now her late night two-piece appearance -- we'd say the old Britney is back!
