Brett Favre, the latest Minnesota Viking, along with race car driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr., will star in the denim brand's "You Can Count on Wrangler" Fall 2009 ad campaign premiering this month.
Set for TV, print, radio and online, the ads will feature the label's Five Star Premium Denim brand and will spotlight clothing priced at less than $20, with a one-year full warranty on all products.
The ads will air on networks such as ESPN and CMT, radio stations including Fox Sports Radio and fall issues of Sports Illustrated and Popular Mechanics, among others. They'll target hardworking, sports-loving men."Dale and Brett are both genuine Wrangler guys who have worn our clothes since long before our official partnerships," said Craig Errington, vice president of Wrangler marketing.
"Since we began working together, they have each really connected with our target consumers and have helped increase awareness and overall perception of the Wrangler brand," Errington added.
The Five Star Premium Denim fall line is available nationwide at retailers including Walmart, Kmart and Target.
These wholesome ads are a far cry from the racy "We Are Animals" Wrangler campaign that's running in Europe.
