Black Halo Launches Its First Advertising Campaign
Black Halo designer Laurel Berman tapped photographer Warwick Saint, who's also shot ads for Cartier and Dolce & Gabbana, for the Fall '09 campaign.

Never has a swiss dot neckerchief looked as elegant as when it's on this shoe from 1985.

Dancing Bootie
Can't you feel how jubilant you will be when you wear this multi-colored bootie? The green laces are like a bow on a present. A very expensive and divine present.

"For us it's been a really organic growth for the brand," Berman told StyleList. "We started seven years ago and we've had about a 30% increase annually. It's very gradual. We're like a tortoise. The slow one wins the race. We felt this is the next step and right time for us even though it's weird economically."
The black-and-white and colored shots, which will appear in the Fall issues of Elle, Interview, and Nylon beginning in September, are stripped down and focus on the sexy, yet sophisticated clothing for which brand has become known.
In addition to the ad campaign, this season Black Halo is also rolling out an e-commerce component to their existing Website so that famous fans like Katherine Heigl, Eva Longoria and Lady Gaga, not to mention all of us commoners, will have easy access to the collection.
"A lot of websites carry Black Halo, but when I look at the photography I almost fall out of my chair," says Berman. "So it's really nice to have control of the images and the garments. You can see on our site how it's supposed to be worn."
