'Mad Men' - The Musical?
We love you "Mad Men," oh, yes, we do! We love you "Mad Men," and we'll be true!
Oh, for the love of Ann-Margaret! After last night's stylish episode of our favorite 1960s-set TV show, we fear we'll be singing "Bye Bye Birdie" songs for days.
Watching a clip from the movie musical, the Sterling Cooper crew was captivated by the sexy red head as they discussed casting an Ann-Margaret look-alike to star in a commercial for Patio Cola, Pepsi's new diet drink.
"Let's assume we can get a girl who can match Ann-Margaret's ability to be 25 and act 14," Peggy quips in the meeting.
But, later, we see Peggy brushing and flipping her hair as she sings "Bye Bye Birdie" into her bedroom mirror.
"Men want her," Don Draper says of Ann-Margaret later. "Women want to be her."
Perhaps "Mad Men's" own flame-haired vixen, Joan Holloway, will let down her locks later this season as Ann-Margaret's popularity grows. For Conrad Birdie, who knows?
