The famous makeup artist and Shiseido artistic director created Luminizing Satin Eye Color in bright yellow Solaris YE306 as the standout shade in Shiseido's collection of Fall color.
It's the star of their advertising campaign, shot on model Christina Carey. Says Page: "Sunny Solaris eye shadow inspires whimsical, creative play with color, brightness, and illumination." We like it because it's unexpected, and, well, happy. Why sport dour smoky eyes when you can be shiny and bright?
But can we mere mortals actually wear it? Page thinks so "The rare and unexpectedly flattering shade offers surprising versatility." Since they're opposite on the color wheel, bright yellows and golds accent blue and green eyes. And buttery shades will clearly brighten the golden flecks in brown eyes. So yes. We believe him.
Good day, sunshine.
