In the past few years, there's been an extraordinary amount of ink devoted to following tip trends, as nail polish emerged on the runways as an accessory that complements the clothing as much as the shoes, belts and bags, and - bonus! - you can actually afford it.
This fall is no different: M.A.C. Cosmetics has collaborated with Jin Soon Choi, a New York based manicurist who is a fixture on the fashion show and editorial shoot circuit. The collection, called M.A.C. Cosmetics Nail Trend F/W/ '09 by Jin Soon, includes six highly pigmented, opaque nail colors, based on fall fashion trends, along with a base and top coat.
The shade Beyond Jealous, a blackened blue/green hue that's sure to be the star of the collection, was debuted at Doo.Ri's Fall/Winter show last spring, as an accoutrement to her draped silhouettes and edgy styling.
Shades include dirty gray lavender Cool Reserve, rich purple For Fun, brick red Dance All Night, blackened brown Rich, Dark, Delicious, khaki olive green Dry Martini, and blackened blue green Beyond Jealous.
