Paris Jackson leaves the Amp Salon in Las Vegas. Photo: Flynetpictures

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris got a haircut and some pampering at the Amp Salon at the Palms in Las Vegas.

But according to the Daily Mail, she also got some unusual treatment: All of Paris' snipped-off hair was swept up into a bag for her to take home.

Many believe this was an attempt to avoid any DNA testing, since the paternity of Michael Jackson's children is under public scrutiny.

Meanwhile, back at the Amp Salon, mum's the word, as no staffers were able to comment.

What do you think?

Are Paris' handlers and family just trying to protect her privacy? Or do they have something to hide? Leave a comment below.

For a look back at Michael Jackson, check out these photos remembering the King of Pop.

Are you freaking serious? The kid was doing what every other kid does, getting a haircut. Let's not make it out to be more than it was.

Give the child a break! she needs some change in her life because she just lost her father two months ago. I think she just needed some time to herself so she could grow and put some the past behind her. I think she looks cute!

Of course she would take her hair! She is the daughter of Michael Jackson...have any idea what people would try to sell that hair for??? Paris was born to Michael's wife Debbie, that makes her his DAUGHTER, what about that do people NOT GET??? Why would they need to know? What business is it of anyone, except Paris and her parents? She's an adorable girl trying to live her life after the loss of the only parental figure she has ever known!! B A C K O F F!!!

Yes, someone would try to profit as they did with Michael. Poor Paris, and all the kids, let's hope the media back off.

Gwen, I think you are going overboard. Childrens hair change as they get older, your son is not at an age for you to make him look not so good. You can change your hair, but not your kids. How much hair does Zuma have? I hope you don't change his, Poor Baby..........

Paris Jackson, I think her getting a haircut is awesome. Sometimes kids need something to make them look good. My daughter had very curly hair, they were ringlets, I braided it, I Put it in a ponytail, and I made her look like a cute little girl, but when I went into the hospital, there were only men in the house, they didn't know how to fix her hair, so they cut it short, and I had a fit. I cut her hair with the styles, and now she does her own hair. She has it shoulder-length, and she does many things with it. I like Paris's haircut...it's cute and looks good on her.

i say ditto, what little girl nearing twelve dosen't want her care cut i did, and so did all my friends. Micahel has to be the most powerful human being, bar none. i've been around for the death for several Popes, and they weren't a subject of conversation, and what wbout Mother Theresa, people weren't having debates, and conversation about her three months after she died, and what about Princess Di, everyone loved her. but three months after her tragic death, she wasn't the subject of conversation anymore. that's why i say that bar none MICHAEL JACKSON was , and even after death the most powerful man in my lifetime. i am happy to have been one of his fans. RIP Michael.

You can't DNA test cut hair. And let's say it could be done. They need DNA to compare it to for it to be of any relevance other than providing her genetic makeup.

You vultures have got to be crazy; I hope none of you ever have children because God will have to sit back and allow you to reap what you have sowed with your children by what you did and are trying to do to MJJ.
This beautiful girl is 11 years old leave her alone. Now, we know that Mrs.Jackson will have to hire a stylist to come to her home or have the family stylist come to her home to provide this type of service in the future for Paris and the boys. You folks have no shame. Paris did what I and all girls did with their first hair cut.

Of course they would! Didn't u see someone auctioning Britney Spears bubble once on ebay! I mean seriously I would of swept up all the hair and taken it too if she was my daughter. Really there are idiots out there that would pay alot of money to have that hair.

Gee can't Paris just get a haircut instead of you guys turning it into sensationlism!

By the way the haircut makes her look older!

This is normal behaviour, getting a hair cut and taking home also is. I have saved my grandkids first haircuts for them to see when they get older. So this might be her first haircut. About Adam's on AMA, I think that was innapropriate behaviour, leave that for the 'santity' of your home. If you need it to kiss, you could have been less, should have been like 'porno'. It looks like he was almost eating that guy alive.
What a mess, and don't take me wrong, I like Adam since day one but I don't approve of this. About Dr.Conrad, to TMZ my question is:
Why he should be allow to practice again? If Joe next door killed someome, I don't thinks his boss wants him back on his job whether next week or next year. He will be fired. Is ethics, moral values at stake here in America. Oh wait. This mean I will kill someone today, take a vacation for couple of months, then go back to work, business as usual. Or I have to be rich first or have a white collar job. And the people (or patients) who still have him as their doctors are just as sick as Dr.Conrad is. We already know he killed MJ with the propofol, he even admitted administering it. Althought his lawyer denied he 'didn't die of that' when it was all over the press the enormous amounts of the substance in MJ body and that this contribute along with the other meds to his death. ONLY IN AMERICA!

People really need to get a life. I think Paris was trying to have some normalcy and she has the right and should be able to go out and get her haircut and it be nothing more than that. As horrible as it is that MJ is dead I am glad that his kids have been taken out of that compound they lived in and are able to do things that other kids get to do. Isn't that ultimately what MJ wanted. He hid his kids away so they could be normal and have normal lives and now if they go to an amusement park or to see a movie or get their haircut people sensationalize it and try to make a scandal out of it. I would not be surprised as intelligent as Paris is if she did not ask to go to a salon and have her hair cut. She probably did not want her grandma bringing someone into their home and being all private and secretive about it. Even though she is devastated by her dad's death I am sure she is glad her and her brothers get to go out into the world and do things other kids do, like the karate, and going up on stage during her dads public memorial and saying those heartfelt words. I think people need to let those kids grieve, and heal and move on with their lives. I pray for them everyday that they will grow up as happy and normal as they can and when they get of age and are ready let them do DNA tests if they want or feel the need and then they can share the results with us. For me personally, I believe the kids are MJ's. At the AMA's when Jermaine went up on stage with the three boys, the middle boy(not the one with the fro or the youngest one) looked like a darker skin Prince to me. I love and trusted and believed in MJ enough that if he says those kids are his I am willing to take that at face value and believe him.
