Tara Subkoff, the 36-year-old designer behind fashion label Imitation of Christ, appears to be recovering well after recent brain surgery, reports the New York Post.

We previously reported the startling news of Subkoff's benign brain tumor in July, in addition to the benefit being held later that month to help cover her hospital bills.

Subkoff attended a recent screening of "The Last Days of Disco" in New York City, and even participated in the Q&A session with the film's director and the audience, according to the paper.

Subkoff, who has appeared in several films including "The Notorious Bettie Page," founded Imitation of Christ in 2000 with Matthew Damhave and in collaboration with creative director Chloe Sevigny. She's also designed lines for Easy Spirit and Bebe.
