Here we go again...

Yesterday, we told you about Mallory Montilla, the Whisper PR account executive who allegedly stole $97,000 worth of jewelry from her clients.

Today, yet another fashion employee is in trouble with the law. This time, for supposedly stealing nearly $12,000 worth of shoes from her employer, high-end footwear wholesaler Jimlar Corp., reports Newsday.

The Queens-based customer service worker, 34-year-old Darsheena Ray, was arrested and charged with third-degree larceny, says the source.

Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice told Newsday that Ray stole 30 pairs of shoes worth $11,770 and sold them on eBay. Jilmar handles the footwear for brands such as Coach, Frye and Calvin Klein.

Ray was arrested after Jimlar received two phone calls from customers wishing to return the shoes they had purchased. Though the customers' paperwork indicated that the shoes came from Jimlar, the company had no record of the sales and does not trade on eBay, Rice told Newsday.

The discrepancies spurred an internal investigation and ultimately a criminal one through the Nassau district attorney's office, the paper explains. If convicted, Ray could face up to seven years in jail.

When contacted by StyleList, Jimlar spokesperson Sarah Cohen said, "We have no comment other than to express sadness that this occurred and satisfaction that the culprit has been identified and caught."
